Annie Cousins, LLC®. Two Cousins—one is an educator and the other is an artist. Both of them share a dream to help educate children in fun and long lasting ways.
As an elementary school teacher, LuAnn knows the power of hands-on learning techniques that enhance a child’s ability to comprehend and retain information. It is her desire to provide such a teaching tool/fun toy, a puzzle of each of the states including state symbols and facts. Keeping it in the family, she called her cousin to design the puzzles.
As an artist, Cheryl brought the innovative idea to a reality. She researched and drew the unique features of each state using her original artwork. In addition to official symbols and facts, she included elements that give distinction and personality to the state. Her goal is to teach children what makes their state special and to take pride in it.
Both LuAnn and Cheryl have skills and talents to create a puzzle that is both educational and entertaining. They have degrees and experience in their education and art fields that provide them with the credentials to produce such an item. As mothers and women who love children, they have a passion to inspire an appreciation of learning.
The combination of their teaching and artistic skills, along with their passion for educating children, gave birth to the unparalleled new teaching tool, State Puzzles. It is their hope that these puzzles will stir children's excitement and admiration for the heritage of their unique states.
